The local leaders took on the Winter Challenge, using their own pedal power in the Snap and Ride.
The Mayors clocked up the km’s with Alistair managing an impressive 228km for the season while Richard travelled 140km by pedal power.
The NPA is extremely grateful for their support of the campaign.
Mayor Sowman said he volunteered to take part in the challenge because it would help promote active transport to the region’s primary school students.

“The Winter Challenge is designed to give ideas to young local families about how to live a healthier lifestyle without the need for a lot of time nor money,” he said.

“It’s easy and fun and if I can help inspire kids to get into action, well, I’ll happily get on my bike.”
