SportStart

SportStart is a grants scheme that has been made available through a joint initiative by the NPA, Work and Income, and the Tasman Regional Sports Trust.

The purpose of the SportStart is to help young people take part in sustainable sport and physical activity by providing assistance where financial hardship is a barrier to participation.

Grants are being made available for 5 – 16 year olds who reside in Tasman, Nelson or Marlborough. The value of each grant is a maximum of $50 per application.

Applicants are entitled to a maximum of two SportStart applications per year (eg: one winter and one summer code).
